A Journey of Baking Experiments
Baking has
always been a passion of mine, I just never thought of pursuing it as a
full-time hobby :) After graduating from college and dabbling in
teaching and music classes, I finally took the plunge to go to culinary
school to pursue a baking degree. After finishing, I found myself
wanting to "practice" my newfound skills on friends and co-workers. It
was my husband who encouraged me to do something more and take my baking
to the next level.
ALTAR-na-rock is a term I (think I) made up, spinning off from the genre of alternative music. 'Altar' is a form of worship and sacrifice. 'Rock' can also have many meanings, but for me, it is a combination of the solid rock of Christ and the hard rock music I listen to. I believe that everyone's life has a purpose and when we find what that is, we should live it to the fullest. God has given me a passion for baking and worshipping him.
It would be an honor for me to bake your treats for your special or casual celebrations. I make all the recipes from scratch and can accomodate most recipes to be gluten-free and/or nut-free (I am highly allergic to peanuts, so I cannot make any thing with peanuts in it).
